Consulting

Interfield offers consultation services that include project feasibility, site analysis, project conceptualization, facility evaluation, and construction verification & certification for industrial and Oil & Gas upstream projects.

These services are offered directly to Clients to assist them in their project planning processes, or in the form of third-party evaluations.

 

 

Engineering and Architectural Design

Interfield provides integrated multi-discipline engineering services, including architectural design of industrial buildings and site facilities, and today is considered one of the Houston’s leading providers of civil and structural engineering in the Real Estate market. We design all type of industrial buildings and site facilities (infrastructure).

Our services include delivery of engineering and architectural solutions to typical as well as challenging project requirements, conditions and constraints. The integration of professional services under one roof avails Client of significant advantages in the form of coordinated, competent and time-sensitive solutions.

The scope of our integrated engineering services includes Conceptual, Basic and Detailed Design for the following disciplines: Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation, Instrumentation and Control.

Today Interfield is considered to be one of the leading companies in Structural and Civil Engineering designs in the Houston Real Estate market and we have geared up to offer these services to the Industrial and Energy Sectors and intend to avail our resources, experience and methods to Clients in these sectors with the aim of filling their engineering and architectural requirements well within their framework for safety, quality, time and budget.

At Interfield Deepwater we provide structural, ice-mechanics and mechanical engineering services covering dynamic behavior of structures, dynamics of floating vessel, seismic analysis, wave motion analysis, pipe-laying over bend and sag bend analysis. We also provide technical support related to finite element analysis, solid modeling, material behavior, fracture mechanics, stress analysis, structural dynamics, strength of materials, stiffened plates buckling, fatigue assessment, fem, ABS-MODU, DNV-MODU, API-RP2A, API-Spec 4F, AISC codes.

 

 

Project Management

We offer services on a stand-alone basis to assist Clients in managing the entire sequence, including engineering and architectural design, documentation and permitting process.

Interfield will conduct a value engineering program working closely with the Clients and their professional team members, to identify and evaluate alternate materials, methods and systems, so as to optimize project value.

 

 

Construction Management

We offer Construction Management services on a stand-alone basis to assist our Clients in managing their construction projects. Our skill set includes all aspects of managing and controlling construction execution, including infrastructure construction, buildings & facilities construction, and subcontracts management.

Additionally, Construction Management is an integral part of some of our projects and other business objectives that Interfield undertakes.

In this phase of the project development, Interfield offers services intended to effectively control the construction process and Client’s outlays during this process.

Interfield will assist Client in qualifying bidders, streamlining data exchange between bidders and design team, analyzing received bids, and working with Client to identify successful bidder(s). Interfield will assist Client in contract negotiations and in working with successful bidder(s) in identifying alternate/means and methods to enhance project value and reduce costs.

During construction, Interfield will work with contractor to generate and monitor project time and values schedule and evaluate and approve payments requests. Our team will also streamline contractor-proposed materials and methods and submittals for review by Client and design team. Interfield will assist and advise Client on final project acceptance and commissioning.

Our staff delivers construction management services in a safe, timely, quality conscious and cost-effective manner.

 

 

Procurement

Procurement includes purchasing, materials management, expediting, major equipment inspections, and logistics services. Our procurement experience has been mainly provided to our Clients in the Real Estate sector.

Procurement is traditionally a highly-visible activity for our Clients, and Interfield is keenly aware that our performance will have a significant impact on the success of a project and ultimately Client’s satisfaction.

Interfield will assist in the procurement of material and equipment that are Client-supplied; including those that are part of the building systems, and/or industrial site facilities. Long–lead items will be identified and procured within the schedule framework of the project, so as to ensure against construction delays or interruptions.

A successful procurement effort will inherently involve the comparative analysis of cost and quality, as well as availability and delivery.

Procurement services may be rendered as part of the Interfield’s overall project scope, or on stand-alone basis.

 

 

Inspections and Forensic Engineering

Inspections and Forensic Engineering services are offered in order to provide investigative engineering for industrial buildings and site facilities. The scope of our services includes the following:

  • Construction Failure Diagnosis and Analysis;
  • Observation and Evaluations of new and existing facilities;
  • Structural Building Damage Evaluations;
  • Structural Analysis Review; and
  • Mitigation and Remediation Measures and Recommendations.

Generally, the observation and evaluation services are provided for projects during the construction phase, in order to verify that work is performed according to standards, drawings and specifications. It serves to detect on time contractors’ work deviation with respect to contract documents, and to recommend corresponding corrective actions.

The observation and evaluation also applies to existing industrial facilities that need diagnosis of cosmetic distress and structural damage. Through our Forensic Engineering services we provide evaluation of probable causes of the distress, assessment of risk of further damage, and important recommendations for remedial measures with corresponding design and construction details for remediation.
